I love your website. Its is especially cool to see Eric Shoutin' Sheridan (of DC's own Uptown Rhythm Kings)among the swing & jump bands. How about devoting some space to DC rockabillys like Vernon Taylor, Billy Hancock, and Tex Rubinowitz. Vernon recorded for Sun and is still active. Billy was Danny Gatton's front man and bass player. He is also a great rockabilly guitarist. He later recorded the great "Boogie Disease" and "Knock Kneed Nellie" for Ripsaw Records and produced Tex's "Hot Rod Man", "Bad Boy", and "Feelin' Right Tonight" for Ripsaw. Today he is primarily doing swing rather than rockabilly. Tex is retired from music but deserves some recognition as one of the greats from the first rockabilly revival. There is no similar website that I know of out east.
